What is a gel manicure?

A gel manicure is a coat of coloured gel similar to a nail varnish that is put under a UV light or LED. Having a gel manicure would result in not having to wait for your nails to dry. Unlike regular varnishes, which can chip within two to three days, a gel polish can remain chip free for up to three weeks.

Can I remove the gel polish at home?

The correct and best method of removal would be carried out by a therapist in the salon where your gel polish will be soaked off gently without damaging your natural nails, something which when done at home you are more prone to doing. However, if you are unbale to come to the salon, we recommend soaking cotton wool in acetone (this will be placed on the nail) and covering it with small square foils for approximately 15mins. After that, gently lift the remainder of the product off by using a cuticle pusher.
