What kinds of pedicures do you do?

We offer a variety of different pedicures depending on your desired outcome. We start from the simple express pedicure where we will file and polish the toes, our classic pedicure which is a firm favourite with customers and includes more thorough work including a foot file, scrub and massage. Our callus peel pedicure focuses on removing dead skin and our luxury pedicure with paraffin will focus on making your feet feel beautifully soft.

Express pedicure- A 30 minute treatment which includes cutting the toe nails, tidying the cuticles and applying a polish to the toes.

Classic pedicure – Our most popular pedicure includes a foot soak to soften dry skin before a foot file and scrub removes hard and dry skin for silky smooth feeling feet. The toe nails are cut and filed, cuticles tidied and a polish applied before finishing with a foot and leg massage.

Luxury pedicure – Our most luxurious pedicure includes everything within the classic pedicure as well as a paraffin wax treatment. Paraffin wax is fantastic for very dry skin and can help alleviate pain related to conditions such as arthritis.

Callus peel – This dry pedicure uses a product to soften calluses and hard skin on the feet. The product is left on to work its magic while we cut the nails and tidy the cuticles before a thorough removal of hard skin leaving your feet feeling amazing! The treatment is finished with a polish applied to the toes (if required) and a foot and leg massage.

Manicures and gel nails

Express manicure – A 30 minute treatment where we will file and shape the nails, tidy the cuticles and apply a polish to the nails.

Classic manicure- The classic manicure includes a hand soak to soften hard cuticles followed by a hand scrub to remove dry skin and a massage to pamper the hands. The nails are shaped, cuticles tidied and a polish applied to the nails.

Luxury manicure – The perfect manicure for dry hands, this luxury treatment includes everything that the classic manicure offers plus the added benefit of a paraffin wax treatment. Paraffin wax intensely conditions the skin and can really help with conditions such as arthritis and painful joints.

Gel nails – During our gel manicure treatment your nails are shaped perfectly and cuticles tidied before a gel polish is applied to the natural nail. The gel polish adds strength and durability to the colour reducing chipping and can last up to 2-3 weeks.

What is a Manicure?

A manicure is a very soothing beauty treatment designed to improve or maintain the appearance of the nails using tools, creams, and massage techniques to leave your nails and hands healthy and looking good. A manicure consists of soaking your nails, filing, and shaping of the free edge to create the shape you desire. The therapist will then gently soften and remove dead skin from your cuticle using a cuticle remover and pusher to clean the nail bed. This will then be finished with polish of your choice. There are different types of manicures, so speak to your therapist to help decide which one is more suitable for you.

What is pedicure?

A traditional pedicure begins with a therapeutic foot soak or spa in a warm scented water to soften the hard dry skin. At this stage, your therapist will give an exfoliation rub to the feet with salts and minerals to remove any dead skin. They will then also push back your cuticles, cut, and shape your toenails. Refreshing creams are then massaged into the skin to soften and improve circulation resulting in your feet feeling fantastic. This will be finished with a polish of your choice. There are diverse types of pedicures, so speak to your therapist as to which would be more suitable for you.

How long does shellac last on your toes?

Shellac on your toes can last up to 6-8 weeks and you can put your shoes on straight away, no more worrying about your polish smudging!

Does shellac ruin your nails?

No. If the shellac is removed professionally with acetone it comes away without damaging the nail plate.

How do you remove shellac?

We wrap the nails in acetone for around 10 mins then easily scrape off the shellac from your nails.

What can I do at home to make my nails last longer?

In order to care for your nails at home there are a few guidelines to follow. If you are doing any cleaning or washing up please wear gloves to protect the gel. Do not pick the gel as this can cause the shellac to lift further and potentially weaken the nail. Use cuticle oil daily to condition the nails and cuticles.
